Artisanal Roasting
Upon arrival, these beans are treated to our meticulous roasting process. Depending on demand, we start roasting anywhere from the same day we receive the beans to a couple of weeks later. As a micro-roaster capable of handling 70 lb batches, our small-scale approach means we roast precisely what's needed. This method not only supports freshness but also reduces waste, ensuring that our coffee moves quickly from our roaster to your cup.
Packaging Perfection
After roasting, our coffee doesn't sit around. Packaged within a week — often just the day after roasting — we use light proof, airtight bags with a one-way seal. This innovative packaging allows the beans to degas while preventing air from entering, maintaining the coffee's integrity and freshness.
Swift Fulfillment
Our fulfillment process is streamlined for speed. Web orders are moved to production first thing in the morning and are typically packed and prepped for shipment within 2-4 days. We adhere to a "best buy" date, which is a year from the packaging date, ensuring you enjoy our coffee at its peak freshness.
Pickup Option
For those local to our production facility in Eureka, CA, we offer a pickup option. While we don't currently offer local delivery services, this pickup option ensures that no matter how you get your coffee, it's as fresh as possible.
Storage Recommendations
Once our coffee reaches you, keeping it fresh is easy. We recommend storing your coffee in a cool, dark cabinet. And a tip for coffee aficionados: never store your coffee in the freezer. Our packaging and your proper storage will preserve the coffee's freshness and flavor.
